We always have more than one project going on for auto body and paint on coaches, trailers, all kinds of motorhomes and toy haulers. Some jobs are small while others are huge. These two will be completed by end of week, while other’s require fabrication of various doors, replace siding and multi-colored paint matching and design matching. No job is too small or too large for our fabulous crew at Almaden RV!
The trouble with looking for water damage on the roof of a motorhome is that at first glance, what you see is most often not what you get. Some well intending RV’ers jump up on the roof and take a look all around for cracks and other places where water can seep in. But, it takes a trained eye to see things that may look OK, but is actually on the brink of letting lots of water pass through. The roof of this RV took on lots of damage and luckily, we caught it before the damage went down the wall. Bring your RV in for an expert roof inspection to avoid the unexpected.
As you can see, this Fleetwood Discovery smacked something hard. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt. On the other hand, it’s likely we’ll find some internal damage beyond what is externally obvious. We’ll carefully remove all damaged parts so that a very close and conclusive inspection can be made. Our goal is to return this motorhome to it’s factory specs as soon as we can, and without overlooking “anything” that was broken from the collision. Our years of experience gives us the special knowledge and best direction to take for discovering the severity and extent of damage. Next, we devise a direct and efficient plan to restore these homes-on-wheels to their original luster, as if they were our own. Keep a look out for the “after pictures” of this RV.
This year is one of our busiest years for re-roofing motorhomes and trailers! It may look like an easy job to remove all of the vents and skylights and then tear off the roof, but there are definitely a few do’s and don’ts and several tricks of the trade to get the job completed perfectly so the new roof is durable and long lasting. But don’t forget, all if this can be undone if the roof is not inspected each year and resealed where needed!
