Last week we started repairing the outer walls on both sides of the slide-out on this nice Prowler travel trailer. Fortunately, the damage was only to the siding and not the inner wall and beyond. This week the siding will be fitted, attached and caulked after the insulation is replaced and such.
This Class C was towed to our shop today after being rear ended. The estimate for the repair would have been much greater if the rear end impact had damaged the floor of the RV, but it did not. The black water tank, plumbing and supporting metal framework was destroyed. The resulting front impact would have also been very costly to repair if the suspension and or radiator had been damaged, but again, they are good. We’ve got our work cut out for us on this one, but nothing we haven’t done many times before. Stay tuned for the “after it’s repaired” pictures.
